The Halet Aviator follows the A-2 flight jacket pattern issued to US pilots in the 1930s. It is cut from full-grain leather with a shearling collar that holds warmth through colder months. A full zip front, flap chest pockets and a utility sleeve pocket sit above an elasticated hem that keeps the fit close. Reinforced stitching runs through the seams and the leather softens with wear without losing its shape.

The lining carries a printed aviation chart, a nod to the silk escape maps carried by aircrew during the war.
